NURSES

• Minimum of 12 months working as nurses 

Areas of work are: 

• Acute general hospital: surgical, medical, emergency, outpatients, neurology 
• Acute mental health hospital 
• Geriatric care 
• Long-term care 

General duties and responsibilities include: 

• Observe and record patients’ behaviour. 
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for creating and evaluating customised care plans. 
• Analysing patient’s symptoms and taking required actions for his/her recovery 
• Maintaining reports of patients’ medical histories, and monitoring changes in their condition 
• Carrying out the requisite treatments and medications 
• Directing and supervising Care Workers 
• Checking the stock on a regular basis for maintaining the inventory level, and placing orders if required 
• Adhering with the protocols, norms, rules and regulations in order to maintain complete medical records 
• Maintaining hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with the healthcare procedures 
• Providing instant care during medical emergencies. 
• Discussing treatment with pharmacists and physicians 
• Keeping an eye on each and every aspect of patient care that includes physical activity plus proper diet 
• Preparing patients for examinations 
• Resolving patients’ problems and fulfilling their requirements by applying multidisciplinary team strategy 
• Recommending drugs and other forms of treatment, like inhalation therapy, physical therapy, etc. 

CARE WORKERS 

• Minimum of 12 months working as care workers 

Areas of work are:

• Acute general hospital: surgical, medical, emergency, outpatients, neurology 
• Acute mental health hospital 
• Geriatric care 
• Long term care 

General duties and responsibilities include: 

• Assistance with activities of daily living including eating, showering / bathing, getting dressed, mobilisation and use of bathroom 
• Assistance with eating or feeding patients 
• Utilise medical equipment safely to move and lift patients when necessary 
• Taking vital signs including blood pressure and temperature 
• Talking to patients and reassuring them 
• Provide constant supervision as required for specific cohorts of patients include aggressive and demented patients 
• Assist nurses as required
